under the surface series

A meeting with depth, an introspective gaze that invites us to pause and observe our own realities. An allusion to the ocean, a limitless and ever-changing medium; just as our shifting and expansive inner worlds work. The color blue predominates throughout the series as a background to represent a calm and meditative state in which to dwell indefinitely. The different shades mutate between light and shadow.

The emotions born in each creative process are captured in compositions of free and expressive brushstrokes, with vibrant colors charged with energy that either stand out or merge. The forms interact according to their own morphological nature in a continuous flow. The spontaneity of the oil pastel strokes suggests future realities to be realized or seemingly invisible connections.

The atmospheric depth at the base contrasts with the overwhelming dynamism suggested by the compositions, an intentional resource of provocation and expression.
